The Birth of a Vision and Artisanal Excellence

The House of Jafferjee was founded in 1880 by Noorbhoy Jafferjee on Bruce Road, Quetta, then part of British India. The business began as a specialist leather atelier, crafting equestrian saddles, riding boots, gun holsters, and travel trunks — products that quickly earned distinction for their durability, precision, and craftsmanship.

A Generational Expansion into Contemporary Luxury

The third generation entered the business as Anwar Quettawala and his brothers joined the House. Under their stewardship, Jafferjee & Co. expanded its product categories and introduced one of Pakistan's earliest comprehensive collections of handcrafted luxury leather goods. This era also marked a technological milestone with the introduction of Pakistan's first hot-foil stamping machine, enabling bespoke personalization long before it became an industry standard.

Shaping the Visual Identity of Modern Brand Stewardship

The fourth generation entered the House as Aamir Quettawala and his cousins joined the family business. This generation brought with it a renewed commercial vision — formalizing the brand's identity and introducing the concept of modern brand stewardship. It was during this period that the House designed its first formal logo, helping shape the visual identity of the brand.

A Clear Division to Safeguard the Original Heritage

As the family expanded and new members entered the business, the House underwent its first formal operational separation. By mutual understanding, the partners divided operations. The original Elphinstone Street location remained as the flagship of Jafferjee & Co., while the Clifton store was independently rebranded as Jafferjee's.
